What is a 'phishing' email and how do I recognise one?

Last Updated: Sep 20, 2017 10:23AM CET
Phishing emails are fraudulent email messages appearing to come from well-known organizations. These messages usually direct you to a 'spoofed' website or otherwise get you to divulge confidential information (e.g. username, passwords etc.)

Please be suspicious of any email message that asks you to enter or verify personal information either through a website or by replying to the message itself. Even if it looks like it is from Paga. Never reply or click the links in the message.

Paga will never reach out to you asking for personal or sensitive details via email. If you receive a call or email asking you to do so, please inform us on 0700 000 PAGA (0700 000 7242) or at fraudwatch@mypaga.com.
